WATCH OUT!
There's a crocodile about,
and he's in your garden
‘Original, funny and super-sweet! A FINALIST and highly
recommended.’ The Wishing Shelf Book Awards
"We have read this book over and over in our preschool this week. The children love the story and the illustrations
keep them captivated.
While the story is fun and exciting it also teaches the children the different stages of a tomato plant. It is also great to have a story that moves away from the stereotypical family. Looking forward to creating dad's recipe!" Tara, Cork

ABOUT THE BOOK
The Greedy Crocodile is a funny, action-packed story about a tomato obsessed crocodile and fearless twins, Elodie and Adele.
Follow the crocodile's adventures as he attempts to break into the greenhouse and eat all the 'matoes!
Mischief and mayhem combined, twins Elodie and Adele love nothing more than to roll up their sleeves and jump
feet first into the action!
The Greedy Crocodile was shortlisted for the London based
Wishing Shelf Book Awards 2020
This book would be suitable from ages 1 to about 8. It is short enough to read to and with your child as
a great bedtime story and even manageable for the more independent readers.

FUN FACTS
The scientific name for tomato is Lycopersicon Lycopersicum meaning wolf peach.
There are over 10,000 varieties of tomato, these come in a variety of colours including pink, purple, black, yellow and white.
La Tomatina is an annual festival in Spain, where people throw 150,000 tomatoes at each other. Mess is best!
Despite being classified as “reptiles”, crocodiles are more closely related to dinosaurs and birds (which are actually avian dinosaurs) than to most animals classified as reptiles.
